This is my final project, the three headed. I wanted to depict the viewers on my inner feelings based on three persons. One stepped on his head, one hold his head like a balloon, and another embraced his head closely. My choice of using various colors refers various deep emotions. Blue for coldness, green for envy, purple for moodiness, red for anger, pink for weakness, orange for ignorance and black for consciousness. The bottom of the art work was darker due to deeper and stronger emotions. Sometimes I pinned down my own thoughts and felling to hide it from the others. Just like the left person, who stepped on his head. Sometimes, I take my thoughts and feelings as majority. I didn't care about the others, just like the right person, who hugged his head between his arms. But however, sometimes I wanted to let everything away. I tried of everything and wanted to let go, just like a balloon flying aimlessly. I believe that the artwork can describe itself better than I. .....So what are your thoughts on this work?...

INVISIBLE ImprintOur society was highly influenced on social media. Adults, teenagers and child spends most of their day staring at their screen without being aware of the surroundings. Many accidents nowadays occurs because underestimating the use of phones. Cellphone use causes over 1 in 4 car accident. I feel that this issue is INVISIBLE in our society and wished to communicate through my image for peoples to consider and realize the danger of our phone. ARTIST STATEMENTI decided to use fingerprint as a main idea of this print, to shows that danger is within our fingertips. The bottom half of the picture represents wires and circuit in phones. And top half of the picture represents veins and vessels in our body. And all of that was connected to a heart, in the center. Which means phones are used like a part of our body, we use it all day. But we didn't realize it was slowly harming us. I apply dark green and red as a contrast to my work. Red is the color of blood, and red has very high visibility to our eyes(thats why they use red for stop signs and stoplights), so that makes people stop and look at the work. Dark green refers to the look of disgusting and hateful. Also, dark green refers to electronic circuits. Which I wanted to engage the audience in the sense of the danger and disgust of our phone. STEPsThere are a few steps of making this work: 1. Deciding the issue which I pick "danger from our phone" 2. Designing on a sheet on paper and chooses colors for the background, which the picture of the design was shown above. 3. Trace the design on plasti-wood using carbon paper. 4. Etch out the lines on the plasti-wood. This was my favorite step. 5. Make a background color, which we use a brayer to roll our background color on the back of our plasti-wood. After that, place a paper on our plastic wood and then use a wooden block to press on the surface of the paper. Making colors to attract on the paper. 6. Make the actual print, the steps are similar to step 5. Use a brayer to roll on plasti-wood, which the color I chose is black. Then, place our paper [paper with the background color that we do on step 5] on the plasti-wood and use a wooden block to press. 7. Finished place i put my workI place my work on the poles and walls along the footpath, which is direct to their eye-level. For people who walk along the streets to see. And hoping that my work will make people realizing this INVISIBLE issues, the danger of our phone. ElsoThis print making project makes me a morally intelligent persons, where I work hard for creating better society. Also, bring justice and peace to the society. This project uses only water color. I use various tints and tone of blue color to created this artwork. The light blue were used for foggy mountains in the back and followed by darker blue for the mountains in the front. Various tones of blue were used for the clouds. Dark blue were used for the trees.
This project was very fun and enjoyable. I've made mistakes ,but in the end, it come out very admirable. It teaches me to be innovative thinker, where I solve problems by analyzing and evaluating it. |
